In honour of Brook Brunetta
Saturday, May 25, 2024 – Northern Karate School-Richmond Hill

Northern Karate School (www.northernkarate.com) was founded in 1972 and opened their Richmond Hill location in 1997. They have 14 schools in the GTA where over 10,000 men and women, ages 3 - 70+, enjoy the benefits of martial arts.

Every year, Northern Karate Richmond Hill runs a kids friendship tournament in honour of Brooke Brunetta, an NKS black belt, who passed away in 2006 of leukemia.

Yearly, more than 300 children between the ages of 4 – 12, along with their families and friends, attend and participate in this friendship tournament. All competitors receive a participation trophy and top performers are recognized with medals for their achievements.

The money raised from the tournament is donated to Starlight Children’s Foundation Canada. In the last 16 years, through the tournament, we have raised over $225,000. This year, with your help, we are hoping to raise a record $25,000.

There are three ways you can help us:

  1. SPONSOR:
Support us with the tournament itself helping us cover the cost of trophies, medals, and other expenses by choosing a sponsorship package. See our "Be A Sponsor" page for details.

  2. SUPPORT:
Support a tournament participant! Participants have the opportunity to personally fundraise for Starlight. To support a participant in their fundraising efforts, find their name on our "Support a Participant" page.

  3. DONATE:
Donate to Starlight directly, in honour of Brooke Brunetta. Contributions can be made HERE.

*Please note that a donation to this page, will NOT be added on to a participant's overall personal fundraising efforts.

Any support that you can provide is greatly appreciated.
